Upon receiving a prophetic insight concerning the United States of America in 1986, Richard received personal counselling from Oral Roberts, Sr.. Subsequently Richard was invited to join the seven-member Executive Board of Regents of ORU and became Chairman of the Board of OREA Canada.

Over the next twenty-one years, Richard travelled to over thirty-five nations ministering in multiple ORU crusades and medical mission trips and founded Richard Pearson Ministries in 1993.

By 2008, Richard retired from both secular business activities and his duties at ORU. In 2009, Richard joined the Canadian Board of John Hagee Ministries, and received an Honorary Doctorate of Laws degree from Canada Christian College in 2015.

The ProphecyUSA TV Program and Podcast is a culmination of thirty-four years of personal ministry, travel and study, combined with the prophetic insight that was given to Richard in 1986. That insight has caused Ezekiel 33:8-11 to be the central inspiration of Richard’s ministry.

Karen, Richard's wife of over 25 years, serves alongside him as his podcast co-host and administrative director of the ministry.
